My baby, Lucky, was gone for over five months. With no children or significant other, my two kitties are my life. I was completely broken hearted. I did everything I could possibly do. I posted pictures, had multiple Craigslist posts, went out calling for Lucky, and called and visited the local shelters.
After over four months, I began to give up hope of ever seeing her again. I knew that I needed to get a new kitty to keep her little sister company in the cold winter months, but I simply could not bring myself to do it.
Then, after five months, I received a voicemail from PetLink saying Lucky had been found. PetLink connected me with the person who had been going to adopt my baby. He had taken Lucky to the vet for de-worming and to see if she was spayed. At the vet’s Lucky was also scanned and that’s how, the same night, I was able to call the man and get Lucky home. Finally! Without the microchip, I truly would never have seen Lucky again.
