I was out of town at a wedding when the call came that my German Spitz, Chewie, had gotten away and hadn’t been found yet. When I heard he was missing, all the possibilities of what happened were going through my head. He was staying at my mom’s in Colorado Springs where the yard is fenced but he dug his way out. I came right home and looked all the places I could think of for him. I talked to neighbors, to people who walked the trail behind my parents’ house, to rescue shelters but I couldn’t find him. I had to leave town next morning and was pretty devastated. My family made posters and I put a lost report into PetLink. At 1.30 next afternoon I got a call from PetLink who read my current number on his microchip. They told me he was at a vet hospital after he’d been found swimming in the Colorado river! Chewie’s a great dog, loyal and adventurous. It was the best service I could get for him. It’s awesome, I love it, PetLink is the greatest investment that I have made!
