Register a Pet Microchip
Microchipping your pet is the most reliable way to ensure they can be returned if lost. For this to work properly, pet owners must register their pet’s microchip. Whether you have a cat, dog, both or another species; keeping their microchips registered with your most current information is necessary to keep them safe. PetLink makes the registration process simple and easy.
Microchip Registration
How Microchip Registration Works
Registering your pet’s microchip with PetLink is easy. Simply click “Register a Pet” to create an account for you and your pet or sign in to your existing account to register your new pet. You can then register your pet by providing their microchip number and filling in all owner and pet information. Once submitted, you are all set! Your pet’s microchip will be registered in the database and connected to your information.
Importance of Registering Your Pet’s Microchip
Registering your pet’s microchip is the key step to making sure it serves its purpose if your pet is lost. If the microchip is not registered, anyone who scans the microchip will still be able to get the microchip number, however, it will not produce any results when searched in PetLink or any other database. A pet’s microchip number alone will not aid in returning a found pet to its owner(s).
