The PetLinkGPS dog tracker works via GSM satellite technology, which is currently the most advanced location-tracking technology available. Unlike traditional radio-wave trackers, PetLinkGPS has a GPS receiver that interacts with satellites orbiting the Earth to calculate its position.

The geographical coordinates of the receiver are not transmitted to the device via radio waves but to a smartphone or computer app via the telephone network. A satellite GPS dog tracker with a GSM subscription using the cellular network, can locate your dog wherever they are located. This is because the device continuously searches for the nearest cellular network, so whenever your dog is in an area with a cellular network signal, they will always be tracked.
