Gone For Six Months

Our German Shepherd can open the gate if it ain’t shut good and back in May he and our Doberman Pinscher got out of the yard and were spotted at my daughter’s school. The German Shepherd came back but the Pinscher, Edmond, didn’t. We were upset because after this, a neighbor’s pitbull came under the…

Thank Heavens For The Chip

This little girl came to us after being found abandoned on the side of the road in an area that was obviously used for disposing of unwanted refuse. She was three months old or so, mostly bald from mange, covered in sores, emaciated and the only survivor of an obvious litter cull. After months of…

Born Under A Wandering Star

Chi Chi is little Chihuahua who loves to wander. She gets a little bored here, so she gets up onto the road and stops cars, she gets a ride and visits with people. She’s so small that she slips out so most of the time we keep her in a playpen. She has her little…

Yay! Baxter’s Back!

We have an invisible fence and Baxter wanders around the yard across our two acres. Last Tuesday was a typical day outside for him but when I called him in the evening he wasn’t coming in. I stopped calling him eventually and went to bed at midnight. The next morning I continued to call and…

Baby Girl On The Run

My Baby Girl is a big white American Bulldog. Twice in four days she got under the fence, she even broke it down. We hunted for her all during the night and thought that she had probably been killed. But she ran down to the Safeway store and was taken to the pound. They read…

Where’s Katie?

Our Pitbull Terrier Katie has never left before, she always stayed right with us, never walked away. We were at my son’s house and all packed ready for the weekend when we said “Where’s Katie?” We spent an hour on foot and bicycles combing the neighborhood which she wasn’t familiar with. While we were trying…

Lola! Lola! Lola!

Lola is a little black Yorkshire Terrier. She normally never runs away but at that moment she was in heat. I was fixing my car in the back yard and she was around me all the time. Then I noticed she wasn’t there. Me and my wife were running and driving around the neighbourhood with…

Seven Weeks Away

Dexter is allowed outside during the day and every night he comes in. The night he got lost he didn’t come home. So, the next morning we started looking for him. We put up signs, tried an online program for calling homes in the neighborhood. For three weeks we searched, went to all the pounds…

Split Second Escape

My brother-in-law took my sister’s dog Prancer down to my Dad’s business a few days ago. It’s down the street from where I live. He turned around for a split second and the dog was gone. Prancer didn’t go far though and we think someone must have picked him up so fast after he disappeared…

Benefits of Microchipping Your Pet

Microchipping your pet has several benefits. Microchips are permanent – after they are implanted, your dog or cat will never need to have it removed or replaced. Microchips do not use any power source or connectivity, so they will always be able to be scanned under any conditions. Microchips are inexpensive and easy to implant into your pet by a veterinarian. The procedure is also swift and generally painless.

Unfortunately, it is very common for a lost pet to be found without a name tag on their collar. This often leads to pets being placed in shelters, hoping their owner will find them. Unlike tags and collars, microchips cannot fall out, break, get lost, etc. No matter what your pet does or where it goes, the microchip will stay safely implanted under its skin. When a pet has a microchip, it can be scanned by a veterinarian or animal shelter, regardless of the condition the pet is in. Microchips are the quickest and easiest way to identify lost animals and return them to their owners.

What Happens When Your Pet Has Been Found & Reported

When a PetLink chip is scanned in a found pet, the owner gets notified immediately. To get in touch as quickly as possible, the registered owner will receive, texts, phone calls, and emails from PetLink right away. Once PetLink gets connected with the pet owner, arrangements can be made to return the pet safely back to its family.

Giving You Peace of Mind

We understand how important pets are to their owners– many consider their animals as members of their family. Naturally, pet owners worry about their pet’s safety and well-being. Microchipping your pet is one of the easiest and most essential steps you can take to keep your animal safe.

PetLink significantly reduces the risk of permanently losing a pet, providing our members with peace of mind knowing we will assist in bringing their lost pets home. We encourage you to read our microchip success stories, which highlight how microchipping not only alleviates owners’ worries but also provides comfort to pets. A microchip registered at PetLink ensures lost pets are quickly reunited with their families, avoiding prolonged stress in shelters and offering great relief for both pets and their owners.
