Nightmare Averted

I have this gate in the very back of the yard. It’s hard to see and I always keep it bolted. Then I had workmen come to put a walkway leading up to it. I didn’t anticipate they would unbolt the gate and it was a windy day. Later my two other dogs came in…

You’re Grounded, Bertie!

Bertie is an adventurous cat and can’t wait to go outside in the morning, rain or shine. He doesn’t stay in his yard but goes into the green area next door (L.A. County Flood Control has an area beside a channel overgrown with shrubs and wild plants). He is home by dinnertime, late afternoon, usually….

A Cautionary Tale With A Happy Ending

My dog Trigger ended up running into the back yard across the lake and into a farm yard. The farmers who found him took Trigger to the vet to have him scanned. Unfortunately, my information was not updated on the PetLink record. To find us the farm lady had to call through the radio station…

Yeah! Ace Is Home!

After wandering out the front door on Oct 30th, Ace was picked up by our local police and taken to the pound. He was there for several days before someone realized that his paperwork wasn’t in order so we didn’t get notified. If he hadn’t had PetLink, our little guy would not have made it…

Both My Girls Are Back

Maddie is a liver and white Springer mix and Betty is a Lab. Both of them ran away and, thanks to Maddie’s chip, I was able to get both of my girls back. Betty is recently adopted and doesn’t have a chip yet, but we will be doing that in the near future. The story…

Treats For Pete

I heard Pete bark around 10 at night. He’s not a barker, so I got up to look out the window. But before I got there he stopped barking so I went to bed. Next morning I got up and Pete was gone. I live in the country in Coffeyville, Kansas where it’s heavily wooded…

Don’t Be Afraid Of Ace

Ace got out somehow, we’re not exactly sure because we weren’t there. My boyfriend thinks he may have left the front door open. Ace got out but got picked up by neighbors who called Animal Control. They took him back to the county shelter where he was scanned and they contacted me. It took two…

The Chip Makes All The Difference In The World

I am very pleased to have Raja back. Raja is an inside and outdoor cat and tends to go through six or seven collar tags in a year. That’s why we decided to get her microchipped so, if she ever did get lost, and did not have her tag on her collar, she would still…

Benefits of Microchipping Your Pet

Microchipping your pet has several benefits. Microchips are permanent – after they are implanted, your dog or cat will never need to have it removed or replaced. Microchips do not use any power source or connectivity, so they will always be able to be scanned under any conditions. Microchips are inexpensive and easy to implant into your pet by a veterinarian. The procedure is also swift and generally painless.

Unfortunately, it is very common for a lost pet to be found without a name tag on their collar. This often leads to pets being placed in shelters, hoping their owner will find them. Unlike tags and collars, microchips cannot fall out, break, get lost, etc. No matter what your pet does or where it goes, the microchip will stay safely implanted under its skin. When a pet has a microchip, it can be scanned by a veterinarian or animal shelter, regardless of the condition the pet is in. Microchips are the quickest and easiest way to identify lost animals and return them to their owners.

What Happens When Your Pet Has Been Found & Reported

When a PetLink chip is scanned in a found pet, the owner gets notified immediately. To get in touch as quickly as possible, the registered owner will receive, texts, phone calls, and emails from PetLink right away. Once PetLink gets connected with the pet owner, arrangements can be made to return the pet safely back to its family.

Giving You Peace of Mind

We understand how important pets are to their owners– many consider their animals as members of their family. Naturally, pet owners worry about their pet’s safety and well-being. Microchipping your pet is one of the easiest and most essential steps you can take to keep your animal safe.

PetLink significantly reduces the risk of permanently losing a pet, providing our members with peace of mind knowing we will assist in bringing their lost pets home. We encourage you to read our microchip success stories, which highlight how microchipping not only alleviates owners’ worries but also provides comfort to pets. A microchip registered at PetLink ensures lost pets are quickly reunited with their families, avoiding prolonged stress in shelters and offering great relief for both pets and their owners.
