Gone and Back Again

Our ten year old indoor cat  pushed a screen out on our porch over Memorial Day weekend and disappeared for five months. We were so sad and looked for him every day in the hope that he would return. We received a message from PetLink that he had been found and contact was made with…

Reunited After A Year!

Theo became part of my family in 2018 when I adopted him from the local Humane Society when he was about 1 year old. I had him microchipped  with PetLink at that time, not realizing just how important that would be to my family 5 years later.  Theo, along with Stella, a cat that I…

Finally Home

I rescued Violet (Krissy at the time) from a shelter when she was 5 months old. At the time she’d already been in and out of the shelter twice and was starved nearly to death at her second home. Third time is a charm and she loves our kids and has a great bond with…

An Accidental Escape!

We had a delivery driver open our gate to drop off a package, and left it open when he entered and our dog was GONE! We live on a busy street, and had no idea what direction she went in, but we assembled the troops, and started running. I notified police and vets in the…

Found by a Good Samaritan

Our golden, Bella, was picked up by a Good Samaritan. They went to our home but my husband was out working on the farm and I was out of the country. They took her home and gave her dinner and then went to the vet to see if she had a microchip. YAY for us!…

Spooked Chihuahua’s Journey

We went camping for a weekend in a area that was on the edge of a large state forest with our 14yr old long haired Chihuahua named Gizmo. Friday evening someone lit a firework near Gizmo and he freaked out and yanked off his collar. He ran out of sight to the Campground store. Before…

Found by Good Samaritan

My 13 year old male cat, Lucky, was found after missing for three weeks. He is an indoor cat and escaped. He was found about a half mile away and living under a trailer. Some nice people were feeding him until one of them took him home. This person saw my post on PetLink and…

Reunited

My ex boyfriend/baby daddy or one of his friends had neglected Gizmo’s grooming and dumped him off somewhere around the time a hurricane was coming through while I was away. Gizmo was so matted and 2 of his nails had grown INTO his pads on his pack paws.  I am very thankful for microchips and…

In 2011 my wife and I adopted 2 little gray kittens. We named them Luna and Phoebe. They got along great for the first few months, but when they were about 6 Months old Luna (the alpha) started becoming aggressive towards Phoebe. At first she would just hiss and swat at Phoebe, but as they…

Benefits of Microchipping Your Pet

Microchipping your pet has several benefits. Microchips are permanent – after they are implanted, your dog or cat will never need to have it removed or replaced. Microchips do not use any power source or connectivity, so they will always be able to be scanned under any conditions. Microchips are inexpensive and easy to implant into your pet by a veterinarian. The procedure is also swift and generally painless.

Unfortunately, it is very common for a lost pet to be found without a name tag on their collar. This often leads to pets being placed in shelters, hoping their owner will find them. Unlike tags and collars, microchips cannot fall out, break, get lost, etc. No matter what your pet does or where it goes, the microchip will stay safely implanted under its skin. When a pet has a microchip, it can be scanned by a veterinarian or animal shelter, regardless of the condition the pet is in. Microchips are the quickest and easiest way to identify lost animals and return them to their owners.

What Happens When Your Pet Has Been Found & Reported

When a PetLink chip is scanned in a found pet, the owner gets notified immediately. To get in touch as quickly as possible, the registered owner will receive, texts, phone calls, and emails from PetLink right away. Once PetLink gets connected with the pet owner, arrangements can be made to return the pet safely back to its family.

Giving You Peace of Mind

We understand how important pets are to their owners– many consider their animals as members of their family. Naturally, pet owners worry about their pet’s safety and well-being. Microchipping your pet is one of the easiest and most essential steps you can take to keep your animal safe.

PetLink significantly reduces the risk of permanently losing a pet, providing our members with peace of mind knowing we will assist in bringing their lost pets home. We encourage you to read our microchip success stories, which highlight how microchipping not only alleviates owners’ worries but also provides comfort to pets. A microchip registered at PetLink ensures lost pets are quickly reunited with their families, avoiding prolonged stress in shelters and offering great relief for both pets and their owners.
